Get to know us

We are Jason & Christie Brown. We both grew up in the Folsom and Orangevale area, and still live there today, raising our 3 sons and running Our Vintage Photo Bus. We combined our love of photography with our love for Vintage Volkswagens, and created a fun & unique business to share with our community. 

In 2021, we debuted our 1st Photo Bus, Marilyn. She was a 1970 microbus that we found in Rocklin, CA. Since then, we have been building our business and a couple more Photo Buses. Like we said, we love our vintage Volkswagens. In 2022, we debuted Sierra, she is a 1968 microbus that we built to be a stunning piece of vintage beauty. From the stained wood inlays and backdrop to the freshly reupholstered interior, she is our dream turned in to reality. We were even fortunate enough to win an award for the best interior at Bugorama in May of 2022. In 2024 we debuted our newest addition, Penny. She is a 1970 Westfalia "tintop" Kombi and she brings that rustic feel to Our Vintage Photo Bus family. Penny was recently featured on the cover of the Summer 2024 issue of Real Weddings Magazine!

One of the things we love, is just cruising around town in our vintage VW's. Everywhere you go, you meet someone who has a story about growing up in a bus, or cruising across country in a bus, or hitting the beach with their surfboards on top. We get to meet so many fun and interesting people, and what's not to love about that! These are the kinds of stories our kids will have and be able to share with their friends and family in the future.
